Birdhouses

...is a love letter to the irrational within the rational. This project draws inspiration from the fantastical logic of Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities and explores how structural unpredictability can become a design asset rather than a flaw. Beginning with layered stamp prints—root, trunk, branch, canopy—each composition is translated into 3D models and rendered as small-scale “houses,” sized to a bird’s world. Embracing irregularity, the work allows intuition to guide form.

Rather than seeking resolution, the project lingers in uncertainty, asking what emerges when the balance between function and form begins to slip.
