...Aims to provide both an interior space for youth learning and development as well as a place of meditation in the midst of the downtown Providence. The pillars of the structure follow the radial lines that extrude from the northern corner of the lot to invite circulation from the major streets into the central courtyard and eventually into the entrances of the structure. The vertical circulation of the project is defined by split leveling with heights of 5 ft to experiment with both the physical and visual thresholds between the major spaces within the building.
